Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Kennedy’ trailer unveils dark tale of double life

New Delhi, Feb 9 (UNI) The trailer of Anurag Kashyap’s directorial ‘Kennedy’ has finally dropped, offering a dark, gritty peek into the troubled life of its protagonist. Starring Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone in pivotal roles, the film is set to premiere on Zee5 on February 20.

The two-minute trailer introduces Rahul Bhat as Uday Shetty, also known as “Kennedy.” In a chilling voiceover, the character declares, “My name is Uday Shetty. In the last six years, I have killed so many people that I have lost count.”

By day, ‘Kennedy’ lives a quiet life as a taxi driver, but by night, he turns into a contract killer working for the commissioner. Caught in a dangerous double life, he is constantly watching his back.

As the story unfolds, a chance meeting with Sunny Leone’s character changes everything. She is gradually pulled into Kennedy’s violent reality, complicating his already fragile search for redemption.

A few days earlier, Kashyap had announced the film’s OTT release on social media. Sharing a post on Instagram, the filmmaker described ‘Kennedy’ as a deeply personal project and expressed gratitude to everyone involved in its making.

He wrote, “Finally, our labor of love, angst, and everything in between, ‘Kennedy’ is coming home after traveling the world on zee5. All I can say is that I am grateful for having been able to make this film, for my team, my producers, my studio, and at the end of the day–jab jab jo jo hona hai, tab tab so hota hai.”

‘Kennedy’ is a dark thriller centered on an insomniac former police officer presumed dead. Still operating within a corrupt system, he secretly searches for a way to atone for his past mistakes.

The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the Midnight Screenings section and later screened at several international film festivals, including those in Sydney, Bucheon, Neuchatel, Lisbon, Austin, Melbourne, London, Mumbai, and Kolkata.

Produced by Good Bad Films, ‘Kennedy’ also features Mohit Takalkar, Abhilash Thapliyal, and Megha Burman alongside Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone.
