New Delhi, Feb 8 (UNI) As winter fades in Delhi, temperatures are gradually rising, and dense fog has given way to light mist during early morning hours of Sunday.
With clear skies overhead, strong daytime sunshine is pushing temperatures upward and bringing pleasant warmth.
However, the chill is still felt during the early mornings and late evenings, while air quality in the capital remains a concern.
On Saturday, the city’s average AQI stood at 227, placing it in the poor category. A marginal improvement was observed on Sunday morning, with levels dropping to 196, within the moderate range.
According to the Meteorological Department, the city is expected to experience clear conditions all day.
Some areas may see light fog in the early morning, followed by bright sunshine during the day, increasing the feeling of warmth as temperatures rise.
The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 23 degrees Celsius, while the minimum may hover near 10 degrees Celsius. Temperatures are likely to fall again after sunset, leading to mildly cold conditions.
No significant weather changes are forecast for Delhi over the coming week. Partial cloud cover is expected on February 9 and 10, along with light morning fog in some areas.
The capital is likely to experience clear weather beginning February 11, and no weather advisories have been issued through February 13.
During this period, temperatures may fluctuate slightly by 1-2 degrees Celsius. Daytime highs are expected to stay between 24 and 25 degrees Celsius, while nighttime lows may range from 9 to 12 degrees Celsius.
