Mathura, (UNI) As large numbers of devotees continue to visit the Radharani temple in Barsana, the temple management has decided to introduce a new crowd-control system. To ensure smoother and safer darshan, a free token-based system will be implemented across all entry routes after Holi.
Now, devotees will be given darshan through a token system. Under this system, counters will be set up within the temple premises where devotees will receive free tokens, and darshan will be permitted according to the token numbers.
This system will be applicable to all devotees coming through the staircase, ropeway, and circumambulation routes. This new system will be fully implemented after Holi.
According to the temple committee, the objective is to prevent the rush during darshan and to accurately assess the number of devotees.
Ashish Krishna Sharma, the receiver of the temple committee, said that a police outpost is being constructed at Badi Singhpaur. The token system will be implemented by setting up counters there. Free prasad will also be distributed to all devotees.
A half-hour trial of this system was conducted a few days ago, which was successful. A final trial will be held after Holi and then it will be implemented permanently.
He further informed that a shoe storage facility is being constructed in the temple premises, keeping in mind the convenience and safety of the devotees. In view of Lathmar Holi on February 25, new electrical fittings are being installed throughout the premises to prevent any incidents like short circuits.
A proposal for widening the road behind the temple and straightening the L-shaped path of the exit gate has also been submitted to the administration. This will provide relief to the devotees in terms of movement and help in crowd control.
The old temple located in the temple complex is also being renovated. This old temple will be used for preparing Chhappan Bhog (56 types of offerings) and for serving food to the devotees. An iron bridge will be constructed from the old temple to the new temple to ensure the smooth movement of offerings and prasad.
