Congress to reconstitute district units

By Special Correspondent

Bhopal: Senior Congress spokesperson Swadesh Sharma on Wednesday said that the Pradesh Congress Committee would soon reconstitute district-level organisations across Madhya Pradesh in line with the vision of Pradesh Congress president Jeetu Patwari and the guidelines laid down by the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

Addressing mediapersons, Sharma said district Congress committees would be formed in every district proportionate to the local population. He noted that the process would follow the model adopted in districts such as Chhindwara, Sagar and Mauganj.

He added that the organisational exercise would not be limited to the district level, but would extend down to the block, panchayat and ward levels to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence across the State.

Sharma said the Congress was committed to building a robust organisational structure to effectively challenge the BJP in the 2028 Assembly elections. With a strong cadre-based network, the party aimed to regain public confidence and form the next government in Madhya Pradesh, he asserted.
