NSUI leader raises questions over inquiry process

By Special Correspondent

Bhopal: Serious questions have been raised over the functioning of the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) office in Bhopal, particularly regarding the issuance of official letters and the inquiry procedure adopted by it. NSUI state vice-president Ravi Parmar has lodged a formal objection, alleging administrative lapses and lack of transparency.

Parmar said he received a letter from the CMHO office on January 28, 2026, directing him to appear before the District Health Officer at 11.30 am the same day in connection with an inquiry. However, the letter did not mention the nature of the complaint, subject matter or complaint number. He also pointed out that the letter carried incorrect dates, mentioning January 28, 2025, at two places.

He further alleged that a day earlier an unidentified person had sent an unreadable letter via WhatsApp, asking him to visit the CMHO office without providing details. Parmar claimed such practices compromise fairness and raise concerns about safety. He demanded transparent, lawful and time-bound communication in all inquiries.
