New Delhi, Jan 20 (UNI) Soon after filing his nomination, Nitin Nabin convened an important meeting with the core committee of the Bengal BJP on Monday. According to party sources, the meeting was aimed at finalising the roadmap for the 2026 West Bengal assembly elections.
With the state polls as the primary focus, BJP leaders discussed detailed election strategies. Nitin Nabin gave clear instructions that special plans must be chalked out to bring women voters to the BJP’s side.
He also emphasised strengthening the organisation from the booth level up to the district and state levels. In the meeting, it was decided that the list of those who can be assigned as booth-level agents (BLAs) for election day and counting day should be shortlisted immediately.
Nitin Nabin said that preparations should be completed well in advance at every level of the organisation. The meeting was held at the BJP’s central office in Delhi on Monday, following the completion of the nomination process and prior to his formal assumption of responsibilities.
He instructed party members to prepare a detailed record of every incident of violence against women that occurred during the Trinamool Congress government’s 15-year rule, while emphasising the various achievements of the central government in the development and empowerment of women in BJP-ruled states.
The party is also focusing on addressing growing unemployment in West Bengal as a key electoral issue. The meeting was attended by Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya, Minister Sukanta Majumdar, central leaders including Satish Dhond, Amit Malviya (head of the BJP IT cell), and union Minister Bhupendra Yadav.
