Bhopal: Demonstrating swift response, technological efficiency and a strong sense of humanitarian duty, the Madhya Pradesh Police have safely traced and reunited 45 missing children, women and elderly persons with their families across the state over the past seven days. The recoveries were made through coordinated action involving Dial-112 services, CCTV surveillance and field teams.
In Chhatarpur district, police achieved major success under the “Chakshu Abhiyan” at the Naugaon mela ground, where 35 children—18 girls and 17 boys—were safely recovered amid heavy crowds. Continuous live monitoring through high-resolution CCTV cameras and close coordination among deployed teams enabled prompt identification and reunion with parents.
Ujjain Police also carried out sensitive and rapid operations across three police station areas, tracing three missing children, including a seven-year-old boy lost during temple visits and a two-year-old toddler who had wandered away while playing. CCTV footage and Dial-112 played a crucial role.
In Ratlam, alert policing led to the recovery of an eight-year-old boy lost in a fair and a 50-year-old woman who had strayed from her route. Sehore Kotwali police successfully traced two abducted children using local intelligence, CCTV footage and mobile tracking, handing them over after medical examination.
Similar prompt interventions were reported from Jabalpur, Shajapur and Khargone, where missing minors and an elderly woman were safely returned to their families.
These coordinated efforts underline the Madhya Pradesh Police’s commitment to public safety, rapid response and compassionate policing, especially for vulnerable sections of society.
