New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday paid homage to the legendary actor and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MGR, on his Jayanti.
“Paying homage to the exceptional MGR on his ‘Jayanti’. His contribution to Tamil Nadu’s progress is outstanding. Equally noteworthy is his role in popularising Tamil culture,” Modi said in a post on handle X.
The Prime Minister also highlighted MGR’s vision for society, saying, “We will always keep working to realise his vision for our society.”
MGR, known for his impactful films and charismatic leadership, served as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu from 1977 to 1987.
MGR’s legacy continues to inspire generations, and his contributions to Tamil Nadu’s development and Tamil culture remain unparalleled.
