Non-functional sewer lines to be made operational soon after survey : Kapil Mishra

New Delhi, Jan 14 (UNI) During the launch of Ayushman Arogya Mandir at the MCW Centre in Sonia Vihar, Karawal Nagar Delhi minister Kapil Mishra stated that a decision had been taken to lay sewer lines across the entire assembly constituency. Under this, sewer work has already begun in Sonia Vihar and is now set to commence in Sabhapur as well.

He further said that in areas of Karawal Nagar ward where sewer lines had been laid earlier but never made operational, surveys have now begun and these lines will also be made functional soon. He informed that a survey is underway to double the pushta (embankment), and the consultant’s report is expected shortly. After the report is received, work to double the pusta will begin at the earliest and will be completed within this tenure.

Targeting the Aam Aadmi Party, Mishra said that during the last 10–12 years, almost no concrete development work was carried out in the area. He alleged that corruption took place during the Aam Aadmi Party government, old-age pensions were stopped, water pipelines were laid but never made operational, and sewer work was never actually started on the ground.

He said that many scams of the Aam Aadmi Party are now coming to light and the present government is conducting a complete accounting of all such matters.

Kapil Mishra also said that a Yamuna river cruise service will soon be launched in Delhi, starting from Sonia Vihar. Recently visited Mumbai to inspect the ongoing cruise operations there. Along with this, a major tourism hub will be developed, which will promote tourism as well as local employment.

He further stated, “Delhi Government is not limiting development to paperwork and announcements, but is implementing every scheme on the ground.”

“In the coming times, the results of all these works will be clearly visible, and Delhi will emerge as a developed, well-organised and convenient capital.” He added
