Delhi CM says 319 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs made operational in 11 months

New Delhi, Jan 14(UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday announced the inauguration of 81 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across the national Capital, further strengthening neighbourhood-level healthcare services.

Addressing a programme in the Hari Nagar Assembly constituency, Gupta extended greetings on Makar Sankranti and congratulated residents on the launch of accessible and reliable health services in their colonies.

She said that within 11 months, the Delhi government has operationalised 319 modern Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, offering free healthcare services with improved and modern facilities.

The total number of operational Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in Delhi will rise from 238 to 319. The expansion is part of the government’s long-term roadmap to establish over 1,100 such centres across the national Capital.

Each Ayushman Arogya Mandir will offer free doctor consultations, essential medicines and diagnostic tests.

The services also include screening for diabetes, hypertension and cancer, maternal and child healthcare, immunisation support, growth monitoring, lifestyle counselling, mental health services, and preventive healthcare programmes such as yoga and nutrition guidance.

These facilities are expected to ease the burden on major hospitals while ensuring timely care, particularly for women, senior citizens and economically weaker sections.
