Pune International Film Festival to unfurl on January 15

Pune, Jan 13 (UNI) Pune is ready to slip into celebration mode as the 24th edition of Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) opens this Thursday, bringing acclaimed filmmakers, renowned media personalities and cinema lovers under one roof.

The event will be inaugurated by Kiran Kulkarni, Principal Secretary of the State Department of Cultural Affairs. Swati Mhase Patil, Managing Director of Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari, along with members of the international jury and Consuls General from various countries, will grace the occasion, said Festival Director and Chairman Dr. Jabbar Patel on Tuesday.

Organised jointly by the Pune Film Foundation, the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra, and Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari, Mumbai, the festival will be held from January 15 to 22 across 10 screens in Pune.
