- Mass Surya Namaskar to be held in all schools of the state
Bhopal: On the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, National Youth Day, January 12, a mass Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) will be organized in all schools of the state, as is done every year. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will participate in the state-level program organized at Subhash Excellence School in Bhopal, and School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh will perform Surya Namaskar and yoga with students at Rukmani Devi Public School on the highway in Narsinghpur.
On the occasion of Youth Day, from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM, a program will be broadcast on All India Radio in all educational institutions of the state. The program will include the national song Vande Mataram, a recorded audio of Swami Vivekananda, and a message from Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Following this, mass Surya Namaskar and Pranayama will be performed according to the instructions given in the radio broadcast. This program will be broadcast simultaneously from all All India Radio centers in the state.
According to the instructions issued by the School Education Department, the mass Surya Namaskar will be organized simultaneously in all educational institutions on a single signal. Students from classes 6th to 12th will participate voluntarily in this event. Primary school children will not participate in performing Surya Namaskar. They can be present at the program as spectators.
