New Delhi, Jan 9 (UNI) The much-anticipated first look from the celebrated filmmaker–actor duo Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor has been unveiled, giving audiences a striking glimpse into the world of ‘O’Romeo’.
On Friday, the makers released the first poster featuring Shahid Kapoor as ‘Romeo’ in Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming directorial. The poster presents Shahid in a fiercely intense avatar, sporting a wild, maniacal grin, with his face smeared with blood and cuts.
His rugged appearance, complete with tattooed arms, an open-neck shirt, chains, and a heavy belt, adds to the raw, rebellious energy of the character. Set against a bold red background, the aggressive stance and styling evoke a dark, mysterious aura.
Sharing the poster on Instagram, Shahid wrote, “Romeo O Romeo where art thou O’ROMEO!” He also hinted at a major reveal related to the film, scheduled for Saturday, January 10.
‘O’Romeo’ marks the fourth collaboration between Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor, following their acclaimed films Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon. Earlier, the makers had announced the film’s title and release date along with another poster.
Director Vishal Bhardwaj confirmed Valentine’s release in a social media post, writing, “Aa raha hai… ORomeo.. this Valentine’s Day,” while tagging Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, and the film’s team.
In August last year, Shahid had shared a black-and-white picture from the sets with Bhardwaj, revealing that the project allowed him to explore a “madly different character.”
Presented by Sajid Nadiadwala and produced under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, ‘O’Romeo’ also stars Triptii Dimri and Nana Patekar. The film is slated to hit theatres around Valentine’s Week on February 13, 2026.
