Bhopal: The Bhopal Group delivered a spectacular performance at the 48th Men’s and Women’s Masters Athletics Championship, securing the top spot at the BHEL Sports Club Ground on January 4, 2026. Dominating the field with an impressive haul of 46 gold, 28 silver, and 25 bronze medals, Bhopal proudly lifted the winner’s trophy. Jhabua district followed as the runner-up, showcasing remarkable talent with 30 gold, 20 silver, and 35 bronze medals. The event saw nearly 400 veteran athletes from across the state competing with immense vigor and skill.
The stakes remain high as the gold medalists now prepare to represent Madhya Pradesh at the 46th National Masters Athletic Championship in Trivandrum, Kerala, starting January 28. Standout performers from the nationals and Asian levels will earn the prestigious opportunity to compete in the World Masters Athletics in South Korea.
