MP Police crack down on drug trafficking

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Police have intensified their campaign against drug trafficking across the State, registering significant successes in Ratlam and Guna districts. In two separate operations, the police seized narcotic substances and vehicles worth more than Rs 26 lakh and arrested those involved.

In Ratlam, Dhodhar outpost police acted on a tip-off and laid a trap near Kalaliya Phanta in the Dhodhar area. During the operation, an accused was intercepted and searched, leading to the recovery of 200 grams of MDMA drugs valued at approximately Rs 20 lakh. The contraband was seized and a case was registered against the accused under the NDPS Act, with further investigation underway.

In another major breakthrough in Guna district, Mrigwas police busted an inter-State smuggling racket transporting smack from Rajasthan. Two traffickers were arrested, and 51.50 grams of smack along with a motorcycle were seized. The total value of the seized property is estimated at over Rs 6 lakh. Legal action under the NDPS Act is being pursued in both cases.
