Quake measuring 5.9 hits SE Alaska: GFZ

Beijing, Jan 1 (UNI) An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted Southeastern Alaska at 0646 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 60.64 degrees north latitude and 140.00 degrees west longitude.
