New Delhi, Jan 1 (UNI) Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and party leader Rahul Gandhi Thursday extended their warm New Year greetings to the nation, emphasising the importance of unity and collective efforts towards progress and prosperity.
“On this joyful New Year, I extend my warmest greetings to all of you. Let us make this year a mass movement to protect the rights of the vulnerable – the right to work, the right to vote, and the right to live with dignity,” Kharge said in a post on handle X.
He urged citizens to safeguard the Constitution and democratic values, empower citizens, and strengthen harmony in society.
Kharge highlighted key issues, saying, “Employment for our youth, safety for women, prosperity for farmers, dignity for those on the margins, and a better quality of life for all, these must be our shared resolve.”
Rahul Gandhi also extended his heartfelt greetings, saying, “Heartfelt New Year greetings to all of you. May the new year bring abundant happiness, good health, and success into your life. Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year 2026!”
