Mukundpur Safari to remain open; Eight ticket counters to manage crowd
The Maharaja Martand Singh Ju Deo White Tiger Safari at Mukundpur is bracing for a massive influx of visitors. In a special move, the management has decided to remain open on Wednesday (January 1), waiving its usual weekly off. To prevent long queues, eight ticket counters will be operational, supported by four dedicated parking zones. “Additional staff from Satna and Rewa forest divisions have been deployed to ensure smooth movement,” the Safari Director stated. Visitors are strictly warned that teasing animals or feeding them carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison under the Wildlife Protection Act.
Devotional sites and picnic spots under high vigil
The city’s spiritual landmarks, including the Mahamrityunjay, Chirhula, and Deotalab temples, are expected to witness thousands of devotees seeking blessings on New Year’s Day. Similarly, tourist spots like Ghinouchi Dham and local waterfalls will have medical teams and fire brigades on standby. Authorities have issued an advisory urging tourists to follow designated paths, safeguard their belongings, and maintain decorum in forest areas to ensure a seamless start to the year.
