Bhopal: The Bhopal City Youth Congress on Tuesday staged a strong protest against the alleged continued atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. The demonstration was led by Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress state secretary Mohit Saxena and Ankit Dubey, who condemned what they described as serious human rights violations against minorities in the neighbouring country.

As a mark of protest, Youth Congress activists burnt the Bangladesh national flag and raised slogans to draw international attention to the issue. The demonstrators expressed anger over what they termed the failure of global forums to effectively address the alleged persecution of minorities.

Several senior Youth Congress and NSUI leaders were present at the protest, including Gaurav Awasthi, former state spokesperson of the Youth Congress; Nikki Chaubey, former block president of Congress Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal; Varun Goswami; NSUI Bhopal district vice-president Harsh Prasad ‘Harshu’; Santosh Soni; and Jatin, along with a large number of Youth Congress and NSUI workers.

The Youth Congress urged the Union government to take firm diplomatic steps on the issue and ensure the safety and security of minorities in Bangladesh through effective international intervention.
