When teachers became guardians

  • Warmth and care for tribal children in Baliapura

Khandwa: In a heart-warming gesture from a remote village, teachers of the government school in Baliapura, under Khandwa development block, came together to protect their students from the winter chill. On Saturday, the teachers purchased sweaters and caps from their own money and gifted them to all 76 students of the school.

Block Resource Coordinator Bherulal Waskale said the school caters to children from poor tribal families. Understanding their needs, the teachers jointly decided to arrange matching sweaters and caps for 48 primary and 28 middle school students. The distribution took place in the presence of Cluster Principal Sukhdev Baghel and Government High School Matpur Principal Lakshminarayan Patel.

District Collector Rishabh Gupta and District Education Officer P.S. Solanki praised the teachers’ compassion and dedication. The initiative was led by School In-charge Pandari Solanki, along with teachers Ganesh Devda, Raisingh Dawar, and guest teachers Mukesh Sisodia, Kiran Bansal and Sonali Patel. Their selfless act brought warmth, smiles and hope to young lives.
