Boman Irani joins cast of Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Peddi’

New Delhi, Dec 30 (UNI) Veteran actor Boman Irani has joined the cast of Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Peddi.’ The makers announced the news by sharing a behind-the-scenes photo from the set featuring Irani with director Buchi Babu Sana and cinematographer R. Rathnavelu.
The caption read, “An absolute honor working with this legend and true cinema lover, Boman Irani sir! A perfect choice for Buchi Babu’s script Peddi.”
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is billed as a rustic, emotionally driven drama and is said to feature one of Ram Charan’s most intense performances to date.
The film has generated strong buzz since its announcement, thanks to its ambitious scale, ensemble cast, and AR Rahman’s music.
In November, the makers released the first single, “Chikiri Chikiri,” which was widely praised for its melodious composition, Ram Charan’s effortless dance moves, and striking visuals.
Earlier this year, a teaser titled “Peddi First Shot” was unveiled on Ram Navami, showcasing Ram Charan in a rugged avatar as he walks into a dusty field, lights a beedi, and delivers the line, “I have only one life to live, and I want to make the most of it.”
The film also stars Jagapathi Babu, Shiva Rajkumar, and Divyendu Sharma. Peddi is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, and produced under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 27, 2026.
