Shashwati-2025: Grand celebration of eternal feminine power at IGRMS

Bhopal: The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) is set to host ‘Shashwati-2025: A Celebration of Women’s Eternal Power’ from December 29, 2025, to January 2, 2026. Inaugurated by Shri Vivek Aggarwal (IAS), Secretary, Ministry of Culture, this five-day festival honors the transformative role of women in preserving India’s cultural heritage.
= The event features four distinct segments:
Srijanika: A vibrant showcase of traditional crafts including Madhubani painting (Bihar), Warli art (Maharashtra), and Dokra craft (Chhattisgarh). Visitors can engage in live demonstrations and interactive workshops.
Annapurna: A culinary journey through India, featuring traditional regional delicacies from Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, and beyond, prepared by women artisans.
Vidushi: Intellectual sessions where eminent women speakers will share insights on empowerment, heritage, and leadership.
Vanini: Enchanting cultural evenings featuring Kuchipudi by Guru Vanashree Rao (Dec 29), Kathak by Dr. Pratibha Raghuvanshi (Dec 30), and Gaudiya Nritya by Guru Banani Chakraborty (Jan 1).
Museum Director Prof. Dr. Amitabh Pandey noted that over 50 women participants will demonstrate how female creativity drives both economic empowerment and cultural continuity.
