New Delhi, Dec 24 (UNI) union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday congratulated ISRO on the successful launch of a next-generation US communication satellite BlueBird Block-2 onboard its heaviest vehicle LVM3-M6 from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
He said the launch demonstrates the mettle of India’s scientists in transforming the country’s space prowess into commercial success.
This launch also fulfills Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a global destination for space technology, Shah added.
In this mission, ISRO’s LVM3 will place the BlueBird Block-2 satellite, into the Low Earth Orbit.
Notably this is the largest commercial communications satellite for the Low Earth Orbit.
ISRO chairman has said that LVM3 rocket has once again proved its reliability with its ninth consecutive successful mission, adding that the accuracy achieved this time was the best so far.
Earlier in the year, Shah had praised the ISRO, stating that every countryman feels proud upon recalling the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3.
He had also said that PM Modi’s leadership is propelling country’s space ambitions, and inspiring the nation’s youth through such space missions like the Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya.
