Bhopal: CIM Quality Circle No. 685 of BHEL, Bhopal, has achieved a significant milestone by winning the prestigious Par Excellence Award at the National Convention on Quality Circles (NCQC) held in Noida. The convention took place from December 20 to 21, 2025, bringing together leading quality circles from across the country.
The team earned its place at the national-level convention after delivering outstanding performances at both unit-level and chapter-level quality conventions. Their success was based on the successful completion of technical development work carried out on an auto tapping machine, which demonstrated innovation, efficiency improvement and process optimisation.
At NCQC Noida, the team excelled across multiple competitive stages, including a detailed case study, a knowledge-based test and a technical presentation. Their performance reflected a high level of technical competence, structured problem-solving skills and strong teamwork.
The achievement was made possible through the continuous guidance and support of senior officials, including Rupesh Telang, General Manager (Feeders & TCB–Manufacturing Commercial and Maintenance), Santosh Dongre, General Manager (Feeders), Department Head Preeti Gupta, Section Head Preeti Nimje, Facilitator Shreyansh Singh, Area Coordinator Brajesh Thakur, and officers of the BEX department.
Quality Circle 685 comprises Rohit Jha (Leader), Dharmendra Namdev (Deputy Leader), Sanatan Parida, Suresh Saini and Anand Soni. Winning the Par Excellence Award marks a historic first achievement for the team and adds another feather to BHEL Bhopal’s quality excellence initiatives.
