Nitish Kumar meets Modi on Bihar’s ‘Saat Nischay 3.0’

New Delhi, Dec 22 (UNI) In his first visit to the national capital since securing a decisive victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today at the PM’s residence, a post from the Prime Minister’s office said.
Accompanying the Chief Minister were Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary and union Minister Lalan Singh.
The 30-minute high-profile meeting is being viewed as a significant step in synchronizing the “Double Engine” government’s roadmap for Bihar over the next five years.
According to sources the discussions primarily centered on the implementation of “Saat Nischay 3.0” (Seven Resolves 3.0), the state’s ambitious development blueprint for 2025–2030. The plan aims to transform Bihar into a developed state by focusing on “Double Employment–Double Income,” infrastructure expansion, and agricultural prosperity.
“It was a courtesy meeting following the formation of the new government. Detailed discussions were held regarding the ‘Saat Nischay 3.0’ scheme and how the Central Government can further assist Bihar in its development journey,” said Bihar Minister Ashok Choudhary in Patna.
The meeting comes at a busy time for the Bihar NDA. Beyond development projects, the leaders reportedly discussed:
Cabinet Expansion: A much-anticipated expansion of the Bihar cabinet is expected to take place after Makar Sankranti.
Legislative Strategy: Coordination for upcoming Rajya Sabha and Bihar Legislative Council seats due in 2026.
Administrative Vacancies: Finding a replacement for Nitin Nabin, who recently resigned from the state cabinet to serve as the BJP’s national working president.
The Prime Minister took to social media to acknowledge the meeting, reinforcing the bond between the Center and the state. PM Modi had previously attended the grand swearing-in ceremony in Patna on November 20, 2025, where Nitish Kumar took the oath of office for a record tenth time.
Sources said that the CM also met with union Home Minister Amit Shah later in the day to discuss the internal security situation and the state’s law and order roadmap.
“The people of Bihar have trusted the leadership of PM Modi and Nitish Kumar once again. Our focus is now entirely on delivering good governance and stability,” Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary had noted during the election campaign, a sentiment that echoed through today’s administrative huddle.
