Bhopal: The Van Mela Bhopal 2025 reached its crescendo on Sunday evening as celebrated Indian singer and internationally acclaimed founder of the band Bombay Vikings, Neeraj Shridhar, delivered a high-voltage live performance that left the audience spellbound and the venue buzzing with energy.
Performing before a packed crowd, Shridhar treated music lovers to a string of chart-topping Bollywood hits that had the audience singing and dancing along. His playlist included the iconic title track of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the romantic Tum Mile, Chor Bazaari from Love Aaj Kal, the peppy Character Dheela from Ready, and Maine Tujhko Dekha from Golmaal Again. Each song was met with loud cheers, turning the mela grounds into a massive open-air concert arena.
As the performance gathered momentum, spectators were seen swaying, clapping and dancing in unison, reflecting the celebratory spirit of the forest fair. Adding to the excitement, Van Mela officials announced from the stage that the event had recorded a footfall of over one lakh visitors, marking a significant milestone for the annual festival.
Speaking to this correspondent after the show, Neeraj Shridhar said this was his second stage performance in the City of Lakes. Recalling his personal connection with Bhopal, he shared fond childhood memories, noting that his aunt lived in the city and he had visited several times with his mother. Praising Bhopal’s scenic beauty, Shridhar lauded its fresh environment and warm audience, describing the experience as truly memorable.
The electrifying finale underscored Van Mela’s growing stature as one of Bhopal’s most popular cultural attractions.
