New Delhi, Dec 21 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today said that they have registered a Disproportionate Assets (DA) Case against Sandeep Singh, Area Sales Manager, WCL, Nagpur Area, Maharashtra, and his wife Sweta Singh for alleged possession of assets amounting to Rs. 45,23,368, which are disproportionate to their known sources of income.
The CBI conducted search operation in this respect at premises linked with the accused.
The searches led to the recovery of huge cash amounts, immovable and movable properties.
During searches, cash of Rs. 17 lakh, gold weighing 900 grams and apart from declared immovable assets, one built-up house at Mohali and 3 agriculture lands at Dhanbad and one luxury vehicle were also found.
Further investigation in the matter is ongoing.
