Hardik Pandya comforts cameraman after being struck by six

Ahmedabad, Dec 20 (UNI) Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya shared a heartwarming moment with a cameraman after one of his powerful sixes accidentally struck the crew member during the fifth and final T20I against South Africa
Pandya, whose aggressive strokeplay lit up the match, inadvertently sent the ball crashing into the cameraman’s arm while attacking the bowlers with his trademark flair. The impact was strong enough to draw attention from the Indian dugout, with assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate visibly reacting to the incident.
In a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the cameraman said he was fine and continued with his duties despite receiving ice treatment from the medical staff. He added that the situation could have been more serious had the ball struck him elsewhere.
Pandya later checked on the cameraman, apologised, hugged him, and personally helped apply an ice pack to ease the pain. Expressing relief, the Indian star said the cameraman was fortunate the ball hit his arm and not a more vulnerable area.
“God was with me because it did not hit him above that. I would definitely say sorry and check on him,” Pandya said, adding that he has known the cameraman for years and was thankful he was safe.
The gesture was widely appreciated, underlining Pandya’s concern beyond the boundary ropes.
