New Delhi, Dec 17, (UNI) Delhi Labour Minister Kapil Mishra on Wednesday announced advisory for all government and private institutions in the national capital to ensure 50 pc work-from-home from December 18.
The directive will not apply to essential services, including hospitals, fire services, jail administration, public transport, power and water departments, disaster management, and the environment department.
The advisory also stated that registered construction workers affected due to work suspension under GRAP-III and GRAP-IV will be provided Rs10,000 compensation by the Delhi government.
Meanwhile, violations of the newly issued orders will invite strict penal action under the provisions of the Environment Protection Act.
Earlier, the Delhi government directed schools across the city to switch to hybrid mode for students up to Classes 9 and 11 as pollution levels spiked in the city, following the CAQM advisory. While also annoucing complete online classes for students upto class V.
The option to attend classes online has been left to students and parents, read the official order. Schools have been asked to immediately convey this information to parents. The order will remain in force until further instructions. Classes 10 and 12 will continue in offline mode as usual.
