Jammu, Dec 14 (UNI) A police Sub Inspector was attacked with sharp weapons in Bakshi Nagar area here in J&K on Sunday.
A Police spokesman here said that at around 8-30 PM, one Sub Inspector, namely Nitin Khajuria, posted as Investigating Officer at Police Station Bakshi Nagar, was attacked at Gurrah Morh by a group of goons.
The accused – identified as Rishab, Munna D and two unknown individuals travelling in a SUV – stopped the cop and attacked him with sharp weapons and also pointed a pistol at him.
SI Nitin sustained injuries and was shifted to Goverment Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
A case has been registered and an investigation is on.
