Patancheru records season’s lowest minimum temperature at 5.4 degrees celsius

Hyderabad, Dec 12 (UNI) Patancheru in Sangareddy district shivered at 5.4 degrees Celsius on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, marking the lowest minimum temperature recorded in Telangana, the Meteorological Centre said.
In its daily weather report, the Met Centre warned that cold wave conditions are likely to persist at isolated pockets in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts over the next 48 hours.
Minimum temperatures are expected to remain 3 to 4 degrees Celsius below normal in isolated areas for the next two to three days.
Dry weather is likely to prevail across the state for the next week.
During the past 24 hours, severe cold wave conditions were reported in isolated pockets of Hanumakonda, Medak and Sangareddy districts, while cold wave conditions were observed in parts of Adilabad and Rangareddy, the report added.
