Bhopal: Fashion, beauty, and tradition converged at the Radisson Hotel for the spectacular ‘Aura by Anamika’ fashion show, which showcased the rich culture and emotional journey of an Indian wedding.
44 models walk through wedding rituals
The show, featuring 44 models on a dazzling ramp, was centered on the life cycle of a traditional Indian marriage, moving sequentially from Haldi and Mehndi to the Wedding and Vidaai (Farewell). Designer Anamika Singh stated that each of the four rounds was crafted to vividly present the emotions of the respective rituals.
The ‘Haldi’ segment featured bright yellow garments and floral jewelry, while the ‘Mehndi’ round showcased subtle hand embroidery in green hues. The ‘Wedding’ segment was marked by stunning grandeur, with models displaying traditional zari, gold thread work, opulent lehengas, and sherwanis. The final ‘Vidaai’ segment emphasized emotional softness through muted shades, sheer dupattas, and delicate jewelry.
The show also highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s rich textile heritage through a Chanderi collection, merging traditional weaving with modern silhouettes. The event, choreographed by Avneet Singh, was graced by notable guests including Mayor Malti Rai.
