Los Angeles, Dec 6 (UNI) The long wait is finally over for Peaky Blinders fans. On Friday evening, the first look and release date for the highly anticipated film starring Cillian Murphy were revealed.
Officially titled Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the movie is set to hit select cinemas on March 6, 2026, before debuting globally on Netflix on March 20, according to Deadline.
Directed by Tom Harper and written by Steven Knight, the movie sees Oscar-winning Cillian Murphy reprising his iconic role as Tommy Shelby, the character he portrayed on the BAFTA-winning drama series from 2013 to 2022.
The cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Sophie Rundle, Barry Keoghan, Stephen Graham, and Jay Lycurgo. Series alumni Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck also return, alongside Rundle and Graham.
The film’s official synopsis reads, “Birmingham, 1940. Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is drawn back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet. With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must confront his own demons and choose whether to protect his legacy or burn it to the ground.”
Excited for the project, Murphy said in an earlier statement, “This is one for the fans.”
The Peaky Blinders series concluded with season six in 2022, shortly before Murphy went on to star in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, earning an Academy Award. His portrayal of Tommy Shelby has earned him a global fan following.
