New Delhi, Dec 6 (UNI) Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar will return with its second installment in theatres on March 19, 2026, the makers revealed in the end credits of the first film, which was released on Friday.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the movie stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Ranveer Singh in lead roles. The post-credit scene surprised audiences by announcing the sequel’s release, suggesting that this gangster drama will conclude in a two-part narrative.
Dhurandhar has surprised the industry because its Day 1 box office collection went over Rs 27 crore, far higher than almost every advance estimate. Before release, many trade experts said the film had lost momentum and would struggle to open well.
The film has been generating significant buzz since the release of its trailer earlier this month. The trailer introduced the key characters with a series of intense sequences, Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, aka “Angel of Death,” threatening to “bleed India with a thousand cuts.”
R. Madhavan as Indian spymaster Sanyal, who believes that infiltrating enemy territory is the only way to stop the threat. Akshaye Khanna as Rehman Dakait, a sharp and dangerous antagonist. Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, joining the team of villains.
Ranveer Singh enters later as the man tasked with countering them, amid a flurry of action, gunfire, and high-octane sequences.
Dhurandhar is jointly produced by Ji Studios and B62 Studios, with music composed by Shashwat Sachdev.
