Bhopal — Railway authorities have announced a major operational decision to manage the anticipated rush during the Magh Mela-2026. To enhance passenger convenience, the train currently operating between Itarsi and Prayagraj Chheoki will be temporarily extended to Chunar Junction.
= Extension for 47 trips to enhance connectivity
This crucial extension will be implemented for 47 trips in both directions, running from January 1, 2026, to February 17, 2026.
The expanded service means Train No. 11273 Itarsi-Prayagraj Chheoki Express will now continue past Prayagraj Chheoki (arriving at 9:55 AM) via Mirzapur (arriving at 12:13 PM) to finally reach Chunar at 1:30 PM. The return journey, Train No. 11274, will depart from Chunar at 4:30 PM. Senior DCM Saurabh Kataria urged passengers to verify the final schedule using the official railway inquiry service (NTES/Rail Madad 139) to ensure a smooth journey on this newly extended route.
