BJP Legislature Party protest against Job Trainee Policy in HP Assembly premises

Dharamshala, (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party legislative party, led by former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, raised slogans in the Assembly premises against the government’s anti-youth job trainee policy.
All the MLAs reminded the government of its ten election guarantees and demanded its withdrawal, calling the job trainee policy anti-youth.
Addressing the media, the Leader of the Opposition said, “This is the same government and its leaders who once went around the streets promising to provide 5 lakh jobs. Previously, they had announced the creation of 1 lakh permanent jobs in the cabinet. Their election speeches made it seem as if they would distribute jobs the very next day after the elections. Today, they are nowhere to be seen. Instead of providing permanent jobs, the government has announced recruitment under various “Mitra” schemes to benefit its cronies.
Meanwhile, more than 10,000 already employed youth have been stripped of their jobs. The rampant corruption under this government’s patronage is unprecedented.
The Leader of the Opposition stated that the Chief Minister’s circle of friends and his close associates have opened outsourcing agencies in their own and family’s names. Through these, all recruitments under the Mitra Scheme are being carried out. Even before the recruitments are officially announced, their leaders begin extorting money from the people of the state. Lakhs of rupees are being extorted from them in the name of providing jobs. Such outsourcing mafias are highly privileged. They even travel in the Chief Minister’s helicopter, ensuring that everyone is convinced that they are close to the Chief Minister and will readily pay. A mafia operating in the name of outsourcing jobs is extorting lakhs of rupees from people in exchange for providing jobs. The protection afforded to this extortion mechanism reveals the mentality of the government and its members. The Honorable Court’s questioning of the competence of these outsourcing agencies provides a glimpse into the profile of these companies.
The Leader of the Opposition stated that the Staff Selection Commission, which recruits youth in the state, remains functional even after three years. This clearly demonstrates the government’s lack of intent to provide jobs. Numerous instances of police recruitment paper leaks have emerged. Students taking the exam alleged mass cheating. There were also allegations of CCTV cameras being shut down. The state police also apprehended some solvers based on the students’ information. Official sources also reported the arrest of four individuals based on the information provided by the students who had paid money. However, the accusers were threatened, and attempts were made to hush up the entire matter. The case is currently in court. The government’s silence after such a massive scam has been exposed cannot be a testament to its impartiality.
In response to a journalist’s question, he said that the government shouldn’t try to assess the Bharatiya Janata Party’s leadership and organizational capabilities. We’ve previously filled the Police Ground with rallies, and all other grounds in the state are filled with workers. Therefore, the Chief Minister should see with his own eyes how many people will attend the protest rally at Zorawar Stadium. The way the government is ignoring the people suggests that the protests should be held in front of the Assembly itself, so that the Chief Minister’s voice can reach him. Because the Chief Minister is incapable of listening, and the entire state is suffering the consequences.
The Leader of the Opposition further stated that the government’s election guarantee included a corpus fund of Rs 680 crore, which hasn’t materialized even after three years. The government has also discontinued the Swalamban Yojana (Self-Reliance Scheme). Through the IF scheme, the government supported the launch of thousands of enterprises. This scheme not only provided employment to individuals but also provided employment to others. This scheme was a boon for the state. However, due to political rivalry, the government not only discontinued the scheme but also stopped payments to those who had already received one installment. The future of these individuals and their ventures hangs in the balance. Far from providing employment to individuals, the government is attempting to dissuade those who wanted to create employment through their own hard work and investment, and to provide employment to others. The crippling of the Swalamban Yojana, which provided employment to thousands of individuals, is again a result of the government’s policy and intentions.
The Leader of the Opposition, while answering questions from the media, said that the Chief Minister and the entire government are obsessed with installing plaques with their names. The buildings that have been constructed have been inaugurated and work has begun on them. Even there, the Chief Minister goes to get the plaques with the name of the inauguration installed. Whereas in Baddi, he inaugurates hospitals in a colourful programme. There, even electricity and water facilities are not restored. The hospitals do not have doctors, technical and support staff, yet the Chief Minister inaugurates them. At many places, old plaques are being removed and new ones are being installed. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu of Himachal is the only Chief Minister in the world to have his picture installed on police vehicles.
