Harry Potter stars Radcliffe and Felton reunite after fourteen years

London, Dec 3 (UNI) December delivered a rare and long-awaited reunion of Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton appearing together publicly for the first time in 14 years.

The actors were spotted together at a special screening in New York City of Merrily We Roll Along, the filmed capture of the 2023 Stephen Sondheim revival in which Radcliffe starred, according to People.

People reported that they even posed cheerfully for photographers. Before this appearance, the two were last photographed together on July 11, 2011, at the New York premiere of Harry Potter and the ‘Deathly Hallows: Part 2.’

Radcliffe, 36, and Felton, 38, first met while filming Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, which debuted 24 years ago last month. Radcliffe played the young wizard Harry Potter, while Felton portrayed his on-screen rival, Draco Malfoy.

Despite their characters’ antagonistic dynamic, the actors have enjoyed a warm and supportive friendship off-screen. Felton has even credited Radcliffe, now a Tony Award winner for his work in Merrily We Roll Along, with inspiring him to step into theater.

“I’ve taken a few tips from Potter,” Felton said during a November appearance on Good Morning America. “He was one of the early inspirations for me to come to Broadway. I saw him in his first show over 10 years ago, and now he’s a Tony winner and a huge part of why Broadway feels so special.”

Felton is currently making his own Broadway debut, reprising the role of Draco in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Now in its seventh year in New York, the production follows the next generation of Hogwarts families, focusing on Harry’s and Draco’s sons as they struggle with the lasting impact of the wizarding war.
