Bhopal Rail Division issues 916 concession cards to disabled travelers

Bhopal: The Bhopal Rail Division is demonstrating a strong commitment to facilitating easier travel for physically disabled passengers. Under the guidance of DRM Pankaj Tyagi, the division has issued a total of 916 Railway Disability Concession Cards in the current financial year, from April 1st to November 30th, 2025. A notable 79 cards were processed in November alone.

These concession cards are vital, granting eligible travelers significant discounts on fares and allowing them to travel with an attendant, as per regulations. This initiative is aimed at ensuring that maximum eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits provided by the government.

To obtain the card, applicants must upload essential documents—including a medical certificate from the District Medical Officer, Aadhar card, and proof of inability to travel without an attendant—via the official website, https://divyangjanid.indianrail.gov.in.

Once issued, the concession details are updated in the railway software, allowing travelers to avail the fare reduction on both counter tickets and e-tickets simply by showing a photocopy of the card.
