Bhopal: For the first time in the history of the Madhya Pradesh Mahila Congress, a large-scale vehicle rally will be organised from Indore to Bhopal on 3 December. The rally will be led by Mahila Congress national president Alka Lamba, who will accompany the newly appointed state president, Reena Bourasi Setia, to Bhopal for her formal assumption of office.
The leadership of the state Mahila Congress has once again been entrusted to a woman leader from Indore. Reena Bourasi Setia is set to take charge on 3 December, following her recent appointment to the post.
Alka Lamba will arrive in Indore on 2 December to participate in the preparations. The rally will commence at 8:30 a.m. from Indore, passing through Aurobindo Hospital and reaching Sanwer, before proceeding via Barodia Khan, Tapobhoomi, Dewas, Sonkatch, Meghwada, Jawar, Ashta and Sehore. It is scheduled to reach Bhopal by 1 p.m.
A grand ceremony has been planned in Bhopal to mark Bourasi’s formal assumption of responsibilities. Former Chief Ministers Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh, state Congress president Jitu Patwari, and Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, among other senior leaders, are expected to attend and address the gathering. The first meeting of the new state executive will also be held following the event.
