India-South Africa ODI: Excitement peaks in Ranchi as teams tune up

Ranchi, Nov 28 (UNI) The city of Ranchi is witnessing heightened excitement ahead of the first One-Day International (ODI) between India and South Africa, scheduled for November 30 at the JSCA International Stadium.

With both teams having arrived in the city, preparations are in full swing as players sweat it out in intensive practice sessions.
On Thursday, the Indian and South African squads trained rigorously at the JSCA Stadium. Indian players focused heavily on regaining their form, engaging in extended batting, bowling, and fielding drills. The South African camp also undertook deep practice sessions, fine-tuning their strategy and working closely with both batsmen and bowlers.
Indian bowling coach Morne Morkel expressed satisfaction with the team’s preparations and highlighted the positive atmosphere within the dressing room.
He said the team has put the recent Test defeat behind them and is fully focused on the ODI series.
“The players are ready to take the field with full energy. We are confident of giving South Africa a strong challenge. We aim to win this ODI series,” Morkel stated.
Both senior and young Indian players displayed enthusiasm and determination as the coaching staff worked closely with them to address various match scenarios. The South African team, too, remained focused on sharpening its strategies ahead of the series opener. UNI KT SSP
