Madrid, Nov 24 (UNI) Atletico Madrid looks like being without Spain international Marcos Llorente for a vital moment of the season after confirming that he suffered a muscle injury in Sunday’s 1-0 win away to Getafe.
The club website informed he suffered a “muscle injury to his thigh, which has been diagnosed by the club’s medical services after the tests on our player, who was obliged to leave the game against Getafe after 14 minutes.”
As usual in these cases the club didn’t speculate on a return date for Llorente, who can play in either midfield or at right back, saying only that his return would depend on the “evolution of the injury.”
Although his return date is uncertain, Llorente seems certain to miss Wednesday’s vital Champions League clash at home to Inter Milan, as well as next Saturday’s home game against bottom of the table Oviedo in La Liga and a difficult visit to play FC Barcelona in the Camp Nou on December 2.
