Bhopal: Avneesh Bhargav, the newly appointed Chief Organiser of the Congress Seva Dal, will formally assume office on 26 November at 1 p.m. during a ceremony at the Madhya Pradesh Congress Headquarters in Bhopal. The event will be held in the presence of AICC-appointed MP Congress in-charge Harish Chaudhary, MPCC president Jitu Patwari and Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Umang Singhar.
A large number of party workers and senior leaders, including Seva Dal in-charge Pratap Narayan Mishra, are expected to attend the ceremony.
The day’s programmes will begin at 11 a.m. with a flag-hoisting ceremony at the Congress Headquarters to mark Constitution Day. This will be followed by a padyatra at 11:30 a.m. from the party office to the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar at Board Office Square. After floral tributes, participants will read the Preamble of the Constitution collectively.
Bhargav will take charge in the presence of senior leaders at 1 p.m. Seva Dal volunteers, office-bearers and Congress workers are likely to participate in large numbers. A senior leader from Bhopal, Bhargav has previously served as general secretary of the MP Congress, president of the Bhopal District (Rural) Congress Committee and as a member of the Bhopal District Panchayat.
