PM Modi to mark Guru Tegh Bahadur’s Shaheedi Diwas, unveil ‘Panchjanya’ in Kurukshetra

New Delhi, Nov 24 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Kurukshetra, Haryana, on Tuesday, November 25, to inaugurate the newly built ‘Panchjanya,’ a grand monument dedicated to the sacred conch of Lord Krishna, according to a government release on Monday.

The Prime Minister’s visit will also include a tour of the Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra, an immersive center that brings to life key episodes from the Mahabharata, celebrating the epic’s enduring cultural and spiritual significance.

At around 4:30 pm, the Prime Minister will participate in a ceremony marking the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the revered ninth Sikh Guru. The event will feature the release of a commemorative coin and stamp, with PM Modi addressing the gathering as part of the year-long national tribute to the Guru’s martyrdom.

Later in the evening, PM Modi will perform darshan and pooja at Brahma Sarovar, one of India’s most sacred pilgrimage sites, renowned for its association with the divine revelation of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. His visit coincides with the ongoing International Gita Mahotsav, which runs from November 15 to December 5 in Kurukshetra.

His visit not only honors India’s rich spiritual traditions but also reinforces Kurukshetra’s status as a vital cultural and religious center, reflecting the nation’s deep-rooted heritage and unity.
