Armed mob who vandalised Café and terrorised staff arrested

Bhopal: Misrod Police have successfully escalated their investigation into the horrific November 18 attack at the Magic Spot Café near SAGE Milestone, arresting seven more individuals. This brings the total number of arrests in the case to twelve. The incident saw nearly two dozen masked, armed thugs storm the café, severely beating employees and causing extensive property damage, creating an atmosphere of terror.

Following the violent report lodged by café owner Saksham Goswami, a joint police task force was immediately formed. The teams, leveraging technical surveillance and CCTV footage, identified the perpetrators who were armed with deadly weapons including swords, hockey sticks, and baseball bats.

Weapons haul and university link

The intensive crackdown has resulted in the recovery of several weapons used in the attack, including a pistol with live cartridges and an air gun seized from one of the previously arrested main suspects, Vasu Gupta. Furthermore, police recovered swords, hockey sticks, and other weapons from the newly arrested accused, who are largely students of SAGE University.

Authorities have informed the university management and summoned the parents of the students involved, urging them to monitor their children closely. The police are continuing their search for the remaining individuals involved in the coordinated act of public mischief and assault.
