South Africa bat first as India bring in Sudharsan, Reddy for Final Test

Guwahati, Nov 22 (UNI) India made two changes to their playing XI for the second Test against South Africa at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, bringing in Nitish Reddy for the injured Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan in place of Axar Patel. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first.
South Africa captain Temba Bavuma said, “We have to start afresh. The wicket looks much better, so we will bat first and aim for a big score. There are no cracks on the pitch. Very excited, happy to be part of this historic moment.” The hosts have made one change, bringing in Senuran Muthusamy.
India’s newly appointed Test captain, Rishabh Pant, who officially became the country’s 38th Test skipper yesterday, expressed his delight at the opportunity. “It’s a proud moment, and I am thankful to the BCCI for giving me this chance. You want to grab it with both hands,” he said.
