New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) To promote awareness of India’s traditional healthcare heritage, the Ministry of Ayush has brought together various medicinal systems under one roof at the ongoing India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 in New Delhi.
The Ayush Pavilion features holistic wellness solutions rooted in Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa and Homoeopathy.
Stalls set up by national institutions such as the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV) and the National Institute of Siddha (NIS), among others, showcase a wide range of offerings — from digital diagnostics and dietary demonstrations to interactive games and expert consultations.
The pavilion is drawing visitors of all age groups through participatory activities, live demonstrations and educational sessions.
Experts at the AIIA booth educated the visitors about the Ayurveda-based dietary practices, explaining the role of traditional grains, herbs and spices in strengthening the body’s natural resilience. They also enlightened the people about the preparation methods to support improved nutrition, particularly in areas such as anaemia management, immune system enhancement and digestive wellness.
The ancient medicine system of Unani, which originated in Greece and was developed by Arab and Persian physicians, also found footing in the Ayush Pavilion.
Put together through a joint effort by the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) and the National Institute of Unani Medicine, the digital “Mizaj-assessment” kiosk was a key attraction of the Unani medicine stall.
The booth helps identify the temperament of an individual based on the Unani diagnostic principles — Damvi (blood), Balghami (phlegm), Safravi (yellow bile), and Saudavi (black bile).
The platform is also being explored by the National Institute of Siddha (NIS), Chennai, to share information on its UG, PG and PhD programmes, encouraging wider participation in Siddha education and research.
