New Delhi, Nov 20 (UNI) Actor Sonam Kapoor is expecting her second child with husband Anand Ahuja.
Sonam shared the news on Instagram, posting a series of photographs highlighting her baby bump with the simple, heartfelt caption: “Mother.”
In the pictures, Sonam exudes classic elegance, channeling Princess Diana through a striking hot-pink pure wool suit featuring oversized padded shoulders and a gently rounded silhouette, a look reminiscent of the late royal’s iconic style.
She later re-shared the post on her Instagram Story, confirming that her due date is ‘Spring 2026’.
The couple will welcome their second child more than three years after the birth of their son, Vayu. Sonam and Anand married on May 8, 2018, in a traditional ceremony, and welcomed Vayu on August 20, 2022.
At the time, they shared a statement expressing gratitude to the medical staff, friends and family who supported them, saying their lives were “forever changed.”
Rumors about Sonam’s second pregnancy had been circulating for weeks, and the announcement has now put the speculation to rest. Fans and friends flooded social media with congratulatory messages, while Anand Ahuja added a playful comment on the post, “Baby ma… also chicccccc mama!” and “double trouble.”
Sonam, known for memorable performances in Neerja, Raanjhanaa, Delhi-6 and Veere Di Wedding, has largely stepped away from films since becoming a mother. She was last seen in the 2023 crime thriller Blind, directed by Shome Makhija, alongside Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey.
