Bhopal: A three-day customer training programme on “HT Motor – Design, Manufacturing, Testing, Erection & Commissioning and Maintenance Aspects” for officials of M/s NTPC commenced today at BHEL Bhopal. The programme was formally inaugurated by Vikas Khare, GM (EM), Surekha Banchhor, AGM (HRD) & HOD, and R.K. Michael, AGM (SSM). A total of 26 NTPC officials are participating in this specialised technical training. Umesh Kumar Savle and Tarun K. Kaushik were also present on the occasion.
In his inaugural address, Khare described NTPC as one of BHEL’s most valued customers and emphasised the organisation’s commitment to delivering high efficiency, superior product quality, and timely services. He highlighted that over the past four decades, BHEL’s Motor Design Group has designed more than 20,000 HT and LT A.C. machines for diverse applications across both domestic and international markets.
Michael, while addressing the participants, underlined that training is most effective when rooted in practical experience. He noted that the programme aims to serve as a platform for mutual learning between BHEL and NTPC. He urged participants to gain a deep understanding of equipment criticality, operational challenges, and the support required to resolve technical issues. He further encouraged active interaction during the planned shop floor visit.
Earlier, Banchhor welcomed the dignitaries and briefed attendees on the training modules. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Savle, who also conducted the proceedings.
