- Four-year search ends
Bhopal: The Nishatpura Police have successfully rescued a minor girl who had been missing for over four years, as part of the state Police Headquarters’ special “Muskaan” (Smile) campaign.
The case began in 2021 when the complainant, Kosar of Motilal Nagar, Karond, reported her 17-year-old daughter missing. An initial missing person report (Missing person- No. 252/21) was subsequently registered as a case of kidnapping (FIR No. 1394/21 under IPC Section 363) due to the victim’s minor status.
Under the direct supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police Akshay Choudhary, a special team led by Station In-Charge Manoj Patwa was constituted for the Muskaan drive. Relying on accumulated evidence and activated informer networks, the team was finally able to locate and safely recover the young woman after she had been missing for four years.
The successful operation was lauded by senior officers, with special mention to Sub-Inspectors Komal Singh and Rajendra Solanki, along with constables and women constables who played a crucial role.
