Mumbai, Nov 19 (UNI) The release of the Dhurandhar trailer has sparked widespread excitement among film enthusiasts. R. Madhavan, portraying the role of an Indian spymaster, has now shared insights into the extensive preparation he committed to for the role.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Khanna.
While the music has already struck a chord with audiences, the actors’ striking new looks have taken fans by surprise.
At the trailer launch event in Mumbai, R. Madhavan, who plays Indian spymaster Sanyal, revealed that it took nearly four hours each day to prepare for his role.
“I was doing the look test for this character, and it took almost three to four hours to get everything right. When I looked at myself, I felt something was missing. Then Aditya came and said, ‘Maddy, make your lips thinner.’ So throughout the whole film, I performed with my lips held thinner,” he recalled with a laugh.
Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar is scheduled to hit theatres on December 5, 2025.
Reflecting on the film, Ranveer Singh said in a statement, “We wanted to create a feature presentation that stands at par with any film worldwide. Our goal was to elevate every aspect of the cinematic process to make something Indians can truly be proud of.”
